The Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is a central theme in the Bible, and it is mentioned more than 80 times in the New Testament. It can be defined as the realm where God reigns supreme, and Jesus Christ is King. The concept of a Kingdom of God is not primarily one of space, territory, or politics, as in a national kingdom, but instead, one of kingly rule, reign, and sovereign control.

The millennial kingdom, which is a future period of 1000 years when Christ will rule on earth. During this time, believers will be part of God’s plan to establish Christ’s rule on earth for 1000 years. This period will fulfill the promise to David that a literal kingdom will be established forever.

After the millennial kingdom, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. The Bible describes this as the “bride,” which will be our eternal home with Christ and the Father.

Today, God is building His Church, which consists of believers in Jesus Christ. This Church is the active Kingdom of God, and we all can be a part of it by sharing the gospel and participating in the plan that God established before the world began. As we work together to build His Kingdom, we can experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from serving Him.

The Church is not just a physical building or an institution; it is a community of people who are united in their faith in Jesus Christ. As members of this community, we have a responsibility to share the good news of the gospel with others and to participate in God’s plan for our lives.
